Your role at St John of God Midland Hospital
The Physiotherapist works alongside the multi-disciplinary team to provide clinical physiotherapy to clients/patients using evidence based clinical practice skills. Ensures practice is in accordance with the Australian Physiotherapy Association Code of Conduct and SJGHC policies and guidelines.
The Position
Provide high quality evidence-based physiotherapy assessments and treatments for all patients/clients, including the provision of hydrotherapy treatments where applicable.
Using patient-centered care work with the patient to develop appropriate physiotherapy treatment goals and plans for all patients/clients.
Ensure that direct working relationships are established and maintained with multi-disciplinary colleagues and internal/external customers including active participation in the multidisciplinary team meetings
Use of Evidence Based Patient treatment outcome measures and use of patient feedback satisfaction measures and quality assurance activities
Participate in the physiotherapy department weekend roster if required.
Assist with education and training programs for students as requested
Responsible for completing appropriate administrative duties arising from each session instructed. This requires liaison with the office administration team, reporting of statistical data and completion of clinical documentation.
Attend staff meetings and present at professional development sessions as required.
Delegate to other staff members where appropriate e.g. Allied Health Assistants, or students.
Liaise with other staff and educate staff about patient/client care.
Maintain effective communication with patients, their families, staff and external health professionals and agencies to ensure quality patient management.
Position Requirements
You will hold current registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia (AHPRA) with experience in provision of Physiotherapy services in relevant clinical settings including the provision of hydrotherapy treatments.
To succeed you will demonstrate effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to work independently and within a multi-disciplinary team.

We can offer you
Salary: $85,508 to $120,255 per annum (pro rata if part-time), plus 12% superannuation
Casual rate: $53.91 to $75.82 per hour (inclusive of casual loading). plus 12% superannuation
